A tip for you about snoring. I have had good success with those adhesive nasal strips you put across your nose. Back on the farm when Dad snored Mom put a shirt on him backwards and stuck a raw potato in the pocket. No snoring.

We discuss marriage and give our thoughts and seem to want to change our laws concerning who may participate.
First, we need to separate the types of marriages there are.
Marriage took a decided religious affiliation during the last couple of centuries with marriage being a popular ceremony in the church of our choice. The procedure and requirements have been dictated by our church.
During this same period of time a civil type union developed so individuals could attend a service and commit to a union of marriage in town halls and other official offices.

We do not have to agree on all the above, just go to the point of the message.

It does not seem logical to make laws directing churches to conform to some "special rules of marriage" We should not have the state dictating to the church-just as we do not want the church dictating to the state.
Special civil unions that do not fall into the codes of churches should be considered and approved by each state for their own use, not directing religions to change policies. I suppose you would assume I am dictating religious marriages and civil unions. Not necessarily. There can be churches formed to accommodate all types of marriages.
